NZ Charter Fishing is owned and operated by Trent Boult.

Trent has salt water in his veins.  Turning his boyhood big fish dreams into a career reality, Trent spent his formative years learning the ways of the sea and fishing on commercial boats in the Hauraki Gulf.

An affinity for people and a desire to share his experience saw Trent progress into the world of marine tourism in the Bay of Islands, nearly twenty years ago.   Firstly as a skipper with a pioneering dolphin swimming operation, way back when such things were virtually unknown.

Eventually, the lure of ‘the Big One’ brought him back to the world of screaming reels, fighting fish and smiling faces.  Over the years, Trent has built up an enviable portfolio of experience and knowledge of New Zealand’s premier fishing grounds, amassing tournament wins, world record captures and many a dream catch for many a satisfied customer along the way.

Trent is an MNZ Certified NZ Offshore Master, Australian Master - Class 5 (with STCW), has clocked over 100,000 sea miles and hundreds of hours below the sea as a keen diver.
